Description: Recognizing complexities in tributary flows (in some cases, watercourses flow in/out/back in) of the coastal units, it was determined that stream network analysis would be performed on all tributaries that are connected within the coastal units starting at the outflows into Lake Ontario and travelling upstream. Network analysis would stop at the outer edge of the zones. For watercourses with outflows into the larger bays (e.g. Hamilton Harbour), network analysis started at the outflows, and selected features within 2km upstream - beyond the upstream extent of the coastal unit boundaries (by stream network distance, not buffer distance).
