Description: European Common Reed, also known as Phragmites australis ssp. australis is an invasive plant species in the Great Lakes Basin and is a major threat to wetland biodiversity. This phragmites feature class is a combination of data from Michigan Tech Research Institute (MTRI) and the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry (MNDMNRF). This feature class was modified by Environment and Climate Change Canada on May 31st, 2021, and was projected/clipped to the needs of the 2021 Lake Ontario Canadian Baseline Coastal Habitat Survey.
